. EXPAL is founded
EXPAL is appointed as leading supplier of aviation bombs for the Spanish Air Force, and receives the category of “Aeronautical Industry”.
EXPAL opens its ammunition loading facility, defined by the NATO as one of the most important ammunition loading facilities in the Organization
EXPAL begins its demilitarization activities of obsolete munitions or not in use, managing the entire life cycle of munitions and explosives, from design, development, manufacturing and maintenance, to disposal at the end of its useful life.
. EXPAL acquires from FIAT Group the BRESSEL Company, specialised in fuzes ammunution, mortar bombs and rockets.
. During the first decade of the XXI century, EXPAL continues its develop, increasing its capabilities with new production facilities and new business lines, such as maintenance and modernization or armored vehicles and aircraft systems.
. EXPAL participates in the concentration process of defence industry in Europe, acquiring the Ammunitionarsenalet company (AMA) from the Danish Ministry of Defence, dedicated since 1676 to supply small-caliber ammunition. AMA becomes DENEX and EXPAL completes its range of ammunition with this caliber.
EXPAL constitutes a subsidary of thecnologic innovation, to equip their products with advanced technological elements. EXPACE dedicates to desing, manufacture and commercialise all kinds of electronic and electro-mechanics systems, embarked in different platform.
Continuing its internationalization process, EXPAL is responsible of 2 production centres in Italy and Bulgaria. EXPAL increases its capacities in disposal, recovery and recycling of ammumition, explosives and pyrotechnics, obsolete or unusable. EXPAL adquires from General Dynamics the assets and production lines of its factory in Murcia (Spain), long tradition centre dedicated to manufacture military powder and nitrocellulose.
Therefore, EXPAL becomes the absolute leader in the Ammunition and Military Explosives Industry in Spain and one of the main leaders at European level.
